TERMS OF SERVICE

Supper by Sarah

We believe in transparency, trust, and a seamless client experience. These policies are designed to support both.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Supper by Sarah’s services. By booking or engaging with our services, you agree to the following:

1. Services

Supper by Sarah provides:

  • Private chef services

  • Meal preparation services

  • Event-based culinary experiences

  • Custom menus and consultations

All services are customized based on client needs and agreed upon in advance.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings require an invoice issued via Stripe

  • A deposit (typically 50%) is required to secure your date

  • The remaining balance is due as outlined in your invoice

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of services.

3. Pricing & Additional Costs

Pricing may include:

  • Chef service fees

  • Grocery costs (initial estimated + final balance adjustment)

  • Travel or transportation (when/if applicable)

Final costs may vary based on:

  • Menu changes

  • Guest count adjustments

  • Market price fluctuations for ingredients

  • Add-ons and upgrades

All changes will be communicated where possible.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

  • We understand that plans can evolve, and we aim to be as accommodating as possible within reason:

    • Clients may request to reschedule or exchange their booking (e.g., change the event date or switch to a different service type) with at least 10 business days’ notice prior to the scheduled service date.

    • Approved changes will be applied as a credit toward a future booking or alternative service, subject to availability.

    For cancellations made within 10 business days of the scheduled service:

    • Changes or exchanges are not guaranteed and are at the sole discretion of Supper by Sarah.

    In the case of emergencies, we will do our best to accommodate a reschedule where possible; however:

    • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances

  • In the rare event Supper by Sarah must cancel, a full refund will be issued

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate event details

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and functional kitchen environment (if applicable)

  • Disclose allergies and dietary restrictions in advance

  • Provide access to the location at agreed times

6. Gratuity

Gratuity is not required but is always appreciated.

Clients may choose to tip via:

  • Stripe payment link

  • Custom gratuity option provided post-service

  • Cash payment in person

  • Zelle or Venmo

7. Liability

Supper by Sarah is not liable for:

  • Allergic reactions where dietary information was not disclosed

  • Issues arising from third-party venues or equipment

  • Delays caused by circumstances outside our control (traffic, supplier delays, etc.)

8. Intellectual Property

All menus, recipes, and creative concepts remain the intellectual property of Supper by Sarah unless otherwise agreed.

9. Photography & Marketing

We may photograph or document events for portfolio or marketing purposes.

If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in advance.

10. Changes to Services

We reserve the right to:

  • Adjust menus based on ingredient availability

  • Make reasonable substitutions

  • Modify logistics to ensure successful execution

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State — likely NY or FL depending on biz setup].
